3M™ 8919 is a 7 mil strapping tape built on a clear polyester film backing with a synthetic rubber adhesive. The polyester construction delivers a low-stretch hold that maintains tension after application without relaxing — a defining characteristic that separates it from standard polypropylene strapping tapes.
This tape is well suited to bundling pipe, lumber, and extruded profiles; reinforcing corrugated cartons at seams or edges; and securing component assemblies in manufacturing and distribution environments. The synthetic rubber adhesive bonds quickly to most finished surfaces and releases cleanly with minimal staining, making it practical wherever surface integrity matters.
The polyester backing resists moisture, abrasion, and scuffing through handling and transit. Each roll measures 3/4" wide by 60 yards and is compatible with standard hand-held tape dispensers. Cases contain 48 rolls and ship via parcel.
